WXOW: Sen. Johnson Questions Protests
Critics of "Occupy Wall Street" and related demonstrations around the country lack focus, and are posing a safety risk and a financial strain on law enforcement in those cities.
Wisconsin Republican Senator Ron Johnson says he's doesn't understand the goals of the movement. Johnson says, "I'm not sure what they're protesting or demanding. Its somewhat misguided. People try to compare it to the tea party. I don't think there's much comparison. The tea party represented a pretty focused concern that we're bankrupting this country."
Johnson is serving his first term in the U.S. Senate. The Oshkosh business owner defeated incumbent Democrat Russ Feingold last November.
