Washington, D.C. – Senator Ron Johnson (WI) issued the following statement in support of National Adoption Month:

"Adopting a child is both important and rewarding. Adoptive parents accept a difficult task – but one of great value. I want to salute all families who adopt children – who offer a permanent home and loving family to children in need. I especially want to commend the thousands of Wisconsin families who adopt a child each year.

"There are 107,000 foster children in the United States awaiting adoption. During the month of November - National Adoption Month - we salute those who have decided to adopt children, and give them a permanent home. I want to thank the thousands of Wisconsin families who are adopting or have adopted.”
