WGBA: Concealed Carry
Wisconsin's new "Concealed Carry” law is now in effect. People who hold a permit will be able to carry a firearm with them in most public places. But there are exceptions to the law that people need to know. Today, Governor Scott Walker was asked about the safety of “Concealed Carry”.
Already, more than 80,000 "Concealed Carry" applications have been downloaded from the Department of Justice's Website.
Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson also weighed on "Concealed Carry" today in regards to his local office. The Senator said, "It has been determined that the law considers my Oshkosh office a federal space, in which it is illegal to carry a firearm. We are posting a sign to make that clear."
The senator's Milwaukee office is in a federal courthouse where guns were already barred.
"Concealed Carry" goes into effect today.
