Washington, D.C. - Senator Ron Johnson made the following statement today after House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan released the House Republican 2012 Budget Plan:  

“I appreciate the fact that the House Republicans – under the leadership of Congressman Ryan - have had the courage to put forth a serious proposal that takes the discussion from talking about billions of dollars of deficit spending to the trillions of dollars that is really the issue. I hope that my colleagues on the other side of the aisle step up to the plate and start working with us to address the looming fiscal crisis in a responsible manner.

“Hopefully Congressman Ryan's budget proposal will be a catalyst for responsible action.  

“I continue to stand ready to work with anyone who is willing to seriously address these issues.”
