Washington, DC — Senator Ron Johnson (WI) joined Senators Herb Kohl (WI), Amy Klobuchar (MN), and Al Franken (MN), in legislation to expedite the replacement of the St. Croix bridge. The bill enables the project to go forward, without spending federal tax dollars on it.
Johnson said:
“Replacing the St. Croix bridge is critical to economic activity in both Wisconsin and Minnesota. It should have been done years ago. I’m happy to join in this bipartisan, bicameral effort.”
Representative Michele Bachmann (MN), has introduced legislation in the House to expedite bridge replacement. That bill is cosponsored by Representatives Chip Cravaack (MN), Sean Duffy (WI), and Ron Kind (WI).
