“As we celebrate our nation's birth, let us all pause to remember the finest among us who have sacrificed to make days like this possible.  Throughout our history, over 1,000,000 men and women have paid the ultimate price for our freedom, and millions of others have been wounded as they defended our liberties. 

“Today, and every day, the members of our military and their families will be in our thoughts and prayers.”
