Several representatives from the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce met with most members of Wisconsin’s Congressional delegation May 2-4.

The Chamber’s purpose in traveling to Washington was to make U.S. Representatives and Senators aware of legislation that affects businesses in Wisconsin and to develop and solidify relationships with our elected officials.

The Chamber also received a legislative briefing from the Heritage Foundation.

The Chamber is actively involved in legislative advocacy, which is one of the organization’s Core Strategies. The Chamber will discuss how it is involved in legislative advocacy in the September 2011 issue of NewsWave.
