The Hill:Sen. Johnson: Repeal everything Obama has done
By Josiah Ryan
In order to revive the economy Congress ought to repeal everything President Obama has done, freshman Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.) recommended, according to a story published in the Third Coast Digest on Monday.
“To get the economy going first, eliminate uncertainty," said Johnson. "Repeal everything Obama has done – health care, Dodd-Frank and all the regulations.”
Johnson then suggested the fiscal fate of the nation depends upon removing Obama from the White House in the 2012 presidential election.
“The 2012 election will determine the fiscal fate of our nation,” he said.
Despite Johnson's wish to see to see Congress act decisively against the Obama White House, however, the conservative senator suggested all of Washington has become an ineffective agent for repairing the nation's biggest problems.
“I have no faith in Washington right now," he said. "They blew it. You’re going to have to fix the problem. This is something bigger than the Republicans or the Tea Party. This is a time for the silent majority … this country is too precious to be left in the hands of the those in Washington.”
