Sen. Johnson tours Gundersen Lutheran
LA CROSSE, WI (WXOW)--Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson toured Gundersen Lutheran Health System in La Crosse on Tuesday.
During his tour of the construction site, Johnson said health reform should preserve what works in our system and improve what doesn't and the new law does neither.
He said there may be some good provisions in the law but contains too many regulations.
"I really do believe that the solutions lie with organizations like Gundersen Lutheran as opposed to a 2,700 page, now 15,000 pages of law and rules and regulations solution out of Washington. The one size fits all solution simply isn't going to work," Sen. Johnson said.
Johnson supports more free market solutions to health care reform and reducing federal mandates that he says drive up the cost of insurance.
