Senator Johnson Comments on Hispanic Heritage Month

Washington, D.C. – Senator Ron Johnson (WI) released the following statement regarding Hispanic Heritage Month:

“America is the greatest county in the history of the world because it has been built by generations of hard-working immigrants who risked all they had to pursue their dreams of a better life. Alone among the world’s leading nations, America has thrived by embracing
the belief that different peoples could come together to form one strong, united nation. Regardless of where we came from, we all share a commitment to the idea spelled out by our Founding Fathers: that we are all created equal, and share the same right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

“Wisconsin’s Hispanic community has helped build the state that we love – and they are continuing to build it today. I am pleased to commemorate Hispanic Heritage Month. It is appropriate for the people of Wisconsin to educate themselves about the contributions of the state’s Hispanic community.”
