Senators Kohl and Johnson, Congressmen Petri, Ribble and Kind to Offer United States Service Academy Day ‘12

Washington D.C. – U.S. Senators Herb Kohl and Ron Johnson, and Congressmen Tom Petri, Reid Ribble and Ron Kind will hold Academy Day 2012 on Saturday, September 15, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Center in Oshkosh.

This informative seminar is for all high school students in the State of Wisconsin to discuss the requirements and procedures for seeking a nomination to the U.S. Service Academies. All necessary qualifications and the procedures for applying to the academies will be explained. You do not need to register for this event.

Representatives from the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, the U.S. Military Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy will all be present to answer questions and distribute information about their academies. We requested that academies bring a Wisconsin cadet/midshipman currently attending the academy to share their first-hand experiences. Senators Kohl and Johnson, and Congressmen Petri, Ribble and Kind encourage all interested students and parents to attend. All questions regarding this event should be directed to the Members' offices.

The EAA Center is located at 3000 Poberezny Road in Oshkosh.
