Wisconsin Public Radio: Sen. Johnson Foresees Consensus on Immigration Reform; Gulf in Debt Reduction Plans
Republican Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson says he was disappointed by what he did not hear in President Obama's State of the Union address on Tuesday evening.
Johnson says he did not hear adequate plans for reducing the country's growing debt burden due mainly to entitlement programs, Social Security and Medicare.
The GOP Senator says he also wishes the President would have spelled out how exactly he intends to reform America's immigration system, including, securing the borders, but is pleased the two parties appear headed for consensus on the issue.
