Washington, D.C. – Senator Ron Johnson (WI) released the following statement regarding Tax Day:

"In 2013, the average American will devote the first 107 days of the year just to paying his or her tax bill. That's five more days spent feeding government bureaucracy instead of families than last year. And that's not counting the deficit spending and debt burden being borne by our children and grandchildren.

"These are not metrics of success. Working families have to find a way to live within their means. It's way past time for Washington to do the same."
