Senator Ron Johnson (WI) today announced that he will join Congressman Paul Ryan (WI-1) and Waterford, Wisconsin community leaders for the dedication of the Captain Rhett W. Schiller Post Office. Johnson sponsored the legislation to designate the Post Office.

Johnson said, “as a member of the United States Senate, it is my privilege to meet the finest among us – the men and women of America’s armed services, who are willing to put their lives on the line for their fellow Americans. Too often, these brave men and women make the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our freedoms. I’m honored to join in this tribute to the bravery of one of Wisconsin’s finest – Captain Rhett Schiller – who gave his life in combat in Iraq.”

In 2012, Johnson introduced legislation to designate the Waterford Post Office as the "Captain Rhett W. Schiller Post Office.” The bill was signed into law by President Obama on January 14, 2013.
