“The Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. wrote, while in jail, why he was certain that the cause he fought for would win. He wrote, ‘We will win our freedom because the sacred heritage of our nation and the eternal will of God are embodied in our echoing demands.’ 

“His belief in America’s principles, in the rightness of freedom and in the divine providence that protects them is inspiring to all of King’s countrymen today.”
