Johnson Votes to Reinstate Pension Cost of Living Increases for Veterans
Washington, D.C. – Today, Senator Johnson voted to reinstate the pension cost of living increases for military veterans. He made the following comments regarding this vote.
“The budget bill that passed the Senate on Dec. 18, 2013 included a measure that targeted only military veterans for a reduction in their cost of living index. While I reluctantly supported the larger budget measure, I opposed the veteran COLA adjustment and promised to help work to reinstate their full retirement. I was pleased to fulfill that promise today.”
