“Today, and every day, I encourage all Americans to take time to say thank you to a veteran.”

WASHINGTON – Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) made these remarks Tuesday in recognition of Veterans Day:

“This Veterans Day, we remember the finest among us. We stand in awe, inspired, encouraged and grateful for the service of men and women throughout history who have protected our country’s freedom and security. While I have never had the honor of serving in the military, it is my honor to serve those Wisconsinites who have done so, including the nine veterans of the Army, Navy and Marines who are on my staff. My gratitude for their service and the service of so many others is only the beginning of what I owe them – of what we all owe them.

“Today, and every day, I encourage all Americans to take time to say thank you to a veteran.”
