Johnson Comments on VA Health Care Recommendations
Washington — Chairman Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) held a Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee (HSGAC) hearing on Wednesday, Feb. 11, titled, “Risky Business: Examining GAO’s 2015 List of High Risk Government Programs.” Chairman Johnson used his opening remarks to highlight recent issues at the Tomah Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Wisconsin. Veterans Affairs health care was added to the GAO’s list of high-risk programs in this year’s report, with GAO experts testifying that more than 100 of their recommendations to improve VA health care have not been implemented.
