HSGAC Urges the President and His Agency Heads to Appoint Permanent Inspectors General

All 16 members of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee sent a letter Monday to President Barack Obama and 10 agencies across the executive branch.  The letter urges the president and his agency heads to expeditiously nominate permanent inspectors general, the federal government’s watchdogs. Ron met with over thirty students from Milton High School this week to answer questions to help with their current research projects and discuss what they can be doing to help America on the road to a more successful future.

Ron also met with almost thirty students from Eagle Middle School in Madison to discuss current issues and decisions facing Congress and the American people today.

Ron Congratulates Students Participating in Robotics Competition 

Ron sent his congratulations to thousands of high school students competing in the regional For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology's (FIRST) Robotics Competition held last weekend at the UW-Milwaukee Panther arena. Teams from 59 high schools across several states participated in the competition.

Senate, House Hold Joint Field Hearing on Tomah Veterans Affairs Medical Facility

Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Chairman Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) and House Veterans’ Affairs Chairman Jeff Miller (R-Fla.) will hold a joint field hearing on Monday, March 30, 2015, “Tomah VAMC: Examining Quality, Access, and a Culture of Overreliance on High-Risk Medications.” The full witness list can be seen here.
