Oshkosh – Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) made these remarks honoring the Independence Day holiday:    

“It was 239 years ago that 56 patriots, driven by a tyrant’s “long train of abuses and usurpations,” put their lives, fortunes and sacred honor on the line by declaring America independent and free from despotism. Let us celebrate and be grateful for their world-changing courage, and remind ourselves we must always stand ready to defend that gift of freedom. Happy Independence Day.”
