Johnson to Participate in EAA AirVenture Oshkosh
WASHINGTON – Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) will help ramp up activities at the Experimental Aircraft Association’s AirVenture Oshkosh on Friday, July 17.
As a member of the Senate Subcommittee on Aviation Operations, Safety, and Security, Sen. Johnson was pleased to co-sponsor the Pilot’s Bill of Rights (S.571) as a way to reform and streamline regulations for the aviation community.
On Friday, he will have the opportunity to fly with a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel in a Commemorative Air Force PT 26 World War II trainer. This is a unique opportunity for the senator to celebrate in his hometown the impact of general aviation in Wisconsin.
