Watch Ron's EAA AirVenture Flight

Senator Johnson Helps Kick off EAA AirVenture

Ron helped ramp up activities at the Experimental Aircraft Association's AirVenture Oshkosh on Friday, July 17 by finding out what's on the minds of pilots -- all from the cockpit of a WWII-era PT-26.

As a member of the Senate Subcommittee on Aviation Operations, Safety, and Security, Sen. Johnson was pleased to cosponsor the Pilot’s Bill of Rights (S.571) as a way to reform and streamline regulations for the aviation community.

On Friday, he had the opportunity to fly with a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel in a Commemorative Air Force PT-26 World War II trainer. The senator documented this unique opportunity to celebrate in his hometown the impact of general aviation in Wisconsin. Watch Ron's ride here or by clicking on the video below.
