Johnson Comments on Constitution Day
WASHINGTON — Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) made these remarks Thursday in recognition of Constitution Day:
“Today, Americans honor the anniversary of one of the most important days in our history — the signing of the Constitution in 1787. Through this document, the Founders put limits on the power of government, protecting the core of what makes this country great – individual liberty. I urge all Wisconsinites to honor the Constitution by taking the time to understand it. Read and discuss it with someone this week. Together, we can become better informed citizens, better prepared to deal with the enormous challenges our country faces.”
