Johnson Praises Marchers' Courage
OSHKOSH — Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) said this about the 2016 March for Life:
“News came this morning that the March for Life will go on despite harsh weather. The march has over time drawn millions of Americans, many of them young people, to the nation’s capital to bear witness to the promise in the Declaration of Independence — that all Americans have the right to life. This fight for justice for the smallest, most defenseless people, the unborn, has carried on through far worse than harsh weather: The marchers have battled hostility from politicians and disdain from the media — and they are prevailing.
"Support for unlimited abortion on demand is eroding. Legislation such as the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which I cosponsored, finds growing support, and more Americans are coming to see the dignity inherent in all human life. I thank the marchers for their courage and wish them well as they continue to change people’s hearts and minds.”
