Johnson Statement on Terror Attack in Istanbul
WASHINGTON – Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee and the Senate Foreign Relation Committee’s Subcommittee on Europe and Regional Security Cooperation, issued the following statement after the deadly terror attack at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul, Turkey:
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this latest tragedy. Sadly, it seems we are saying that a lot these days.
“We need to face the reality that the root cause of so many of these terrorist attacks is radical Islamist ideology. The civilized world must unite and fight to reclaim the freedom that Islamic terrorists are methodically taking away.”
