Johnson Recognizes Hispanic Heritage Month
WASHINGTON – Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) issued the following statement Thursday in honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15:
“We’re a nation of immigrants. Our ancestors brought the customs and cultures of a hundred different lands to this country, this incredible experiment in human freedom that is America. Even as we are glad and proud to be Americans, we can remember and celebrate those different threads of heritage. This month, I am grateful as well to celebrate the contribution of Hispanic Americans to our country’s greatness. For generations, Americans of Hispanic descent have defended our country, raised families, grown businesses and built our communities.”
