Senators Call For Calm With Kurds in Bipartisan Letter to Iraqi PM
WASHINGTON — U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), along with Sens. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), James Risch (R-Idaho), Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), Cory Gardner (R-Colo.), John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) and Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.), sent a letter to Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi Thursday calling for calm between the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Regional Government and urging his leadership for a diplomatic solution.
