This Didn't Just Happen
The 41-year-high annual inflation rate of 9.1% is just the national average.
According to the Senate Joint Economic Committee, Wisconsin families are suffering from a 14.5% increase in prices and spending an additional $8,489 per year since the start of the Biden Administration.
Biden's inflation is caused by a triple whammy:
- War on fossil fuels
- Massive deficit spending
- Paying workers to sit on the sidelines
Its a witch's brew of ingredients for stagflation and he has no solution for it.
Hunter Biden Must Be Investigated
I sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and United States Attorney for the District of Delaware David Weiss demanding a thorough investigation of Hunter Biden's potentially criminal behavior.
A recent article revealed evidence further corroborating the facts highlighted in my report about Hunter Biden's questionable financial transactions. The Washington Examiner published Hunter Biden's text messages apparently showing him discussing payment for escorts associated with a company which at one time had locations in Russia and Ukraine.

Honoring Japan's Shinzo Abe
I joined Sen. Bill Hagerty in a resolution honoring Shinzo Abe, the former Prime Minister of Japan, who was assassinated at a political rally earlier this month. This resolution was unanimously approved by the Senate.
The resolution highlights how the United States lost a great friend and ally with the assassination of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, whose leadership laid a lasting foundation for the United States and Japan to partner for decades to come in promoting freedom, prosperity, and security around the world and opposing authoritarianism and tyranny.
Strengthening NATO
As ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Europe and Regional Security Cooperation, I voted in favor this week of committee passage of the accession protocols for Finland and Sweden to join NATO. The resolution of advice and consent moves next to consideration by the full Senate.
Finland and Sweden have significant military capabilities and will be a welcome addition to the alliance. I hope my colleagues move quickly to pass this resolution through the Senate.

Sarcoma Awareness Month Passes Senate
This week the Senate passed my resolution designating July 2022 as National Sarcoma Awareness Month.
This resolution will go a long way to raise awareness for Americans who've struggled with this life-threatening disease.
I introduced this resolution to raise awareness of this complex form of cancer to honor the life of Melissa Locke (pictured above) and the many other Americans that this disease affects like Jenna Rogalinski (pictured below). My team met Jenna earlier this month at Milwaukee's 2022 Race to Cure Sarcoma.
