Sen. Johnson Joins Colleagues in Demanding Schumer Present Plan to Fund Government and Avoid Omnibus Spending Package

WASHINGTON – On Wednesday, U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) joined U.S. Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) and 18 of his Republican Senate colleagues in a letter to Majority Leader Chuck Schumer informing him they will not consent or vote to proceed to any item on the Senate floor that is not related to appropriations bills.  The Senators also requested for Leader Schumer to present his plan how the Senate will take up and pass the 12 appropriations bills with an open amendment process and conference them with the House in time to prevent a December omnibus spending package.
