Testifying Before the House

The new House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government met for the first time and I provided testimony.

I detailed instances of government corruption and abuse and described how actors within federal agencies coordinate with the media and other entities to promote leftwing ideology and undermine their political opponents.

Let me be clear. I am not talking about the men and women in government who conduct themselves with integrity and patriotism. But, it is important to recognize corrupt individuals within federal agencies are not acting alone. They operate as vital partners of the leftwing political movement that includes most members of the mainstream media, big tech social media giants, global institutions and foundations, Democrat Party operatives, and elected officials. As the Twitter files reveal, these actors work in concert to defeat their political opponents and promote leftwing ideology and government control over our lives.

State of the Union Reaction

On Tuesday, President Biden gave his second State of the Union address.

He said he ran "to fundamentally change things" and he has done so - for the worse. The disastrous results of his governance describe the actual state of our union - a more divided nation, 40-year-high inflation, an open border with a flood of illegal immigration and deadly drugs, high energy prices, rising crime, record debt and growing threats from global adversaries. Our nation is in peril.

My sincerest condolences to the loved ones and colleagues of the Milwaukee police officer who was senselessly murdered in the line of duty. 37-year-old Officer Peter Jerving died after a shootout with a 19-year old robbery suspect. We should all be inspired by his service and sacrifice, and pledge to do all we can to support everyone in law enforcement who puts their lives on the line for us every day.

Congratulations to the two graduates of Milwaukee's Joseph Project February class. This is the 132nd class for the Joseph Project in Wisconsin. Hundreds of people have found life-changing jobs after completing this one-week course which prepares students for interviews with companies ready to hire. These two graduates finished class on Thursday and interviewed the same day with Denali Ingredients in New Berlin.

The Mount Horeb Area Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its 100th anniversary. My Regional Director Tawsif Anam presented Chamber Executive Director Rachel LaCasse-Ford with a Certificate of Special Senatorial Recognition to mark the occasion.
