Evisceration of American Judicial Process

Destruction of Due Process

Image

The fallout from the conviction of former President Donald Trump in Manhattan continues. On May 30, the day of the jury verdict, I posted on X the statement you see here — "after this travesty of justice, our judicial system will never be the same.

On June 13, I joined with 28 of my Republican colleagues in a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland condemning the evisceration of the American judicial process.

The letter outlines the casualties of this case and the lack of due process. It reads,"We condemn this show trial, not just because it marks the attempt to imprison a leader of the loyal opposition, but because it threatens the existence of due process of law, without which a constitutional republic dedicated to the protection of individual liberty is not possible."

Read more about this letter in Fox News.

I also joined this statement holding President Biden responsible for the mockery he has made of our rule of law.

Biden's "Mass Amnesty" for Migrants

I joined a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Attorney General Merrick Garland, questioning the administration’s dismissal of over 350,000 removal cases and highlighting the erosive effect of these policies on the U.S. legal immigration system.

The letter criticizes President Biden’s recent executive order purporting to close the border, as “too little, too late.” The administration’s action was also an admission that President Biden always had the authority to secure the border, despite his claims otherwise.

Under the Biden administration, the United States has seen the worst border crisis in its history. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reported more than 7.8 million encounters with illegal immigrants at the southwest border over the last three years, and more than 9.5 million encounters nationwide. At the onset of the Biden administration, the president signed a series of executive orders rolling back former President Donald Trump's border security initiatives, leading to a spike in illegal border crossings.

The real tragedy is that had President Biden done nothing and just kept the Trump programs in place that secured the border, we wouldn’t have a border crisis.

This week, we also learned about eight suspected terrorists being arrested. There is no full vetting. This is  just the tip of the iceberg of the clear and present danger created by the Democrats’ open border catastrophe.

Bringing Accountability to the COVID Cartel

Image

  • Earlier this month, Dr. Anthony Fauci testified before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic. Despite evidence that our government failed in its response to the COVID pandemic and the devastating toll his public health policies exacted, Dr. Fauci staunchly defended every misguided decision he advocated for. Fauci will never admit he was wrong

  • The FDA just voted to have vaccine manufacturers update the COVID-19 shot for fall. I’ve been asking the CDC and FDA to release their complete analysis of VAERS data since June 23, 2022. I'm still waiting.

  • This is what real scientific inquiry looks like. Hats off to David Gortler for an excellent analysis of ivermectin. How many people needlessly died because the COVID cartel sabotaged early treatment?

  • Dr. Sabine Hazan is one of the unsung heroes of COVID. Her groundbreaking research saved lives, but it has been shamefully suppressed by the COVID Cartel. Watch this interview clip.

Summer of Scare Tactics

Image

This week, I joined all my Senate GOP colleagues in a joint statement supporting continued nationwide access to in vitro fertilization (IVF) which reads in part —

"Senate Democrats have embraced a Summer of Scare Tactics — a partisan campaign of false fearmongering intended to mislead and confuse the American people. In vitro fertilization is legal and available in every state across our nation. We strongly support continued nationwide access to IVF, which has allowed millions of aspiring parents to start and grow their families."
